THE IX INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL FESTIVAL «FLOWERS OF RUSSIA»

Pre-anniversary IX International cultural festival «Flowers of Russia» was held immediately after the festival in Slovenia. Within the IX International festival there were gala concert of classical music, performed by Russia's young talents, a theatre performance of the National Theatre of the Republic of Karelia, a round-table conference, marionette and drawing exhibitions and a workshop on acting.

Press conference and round-table conference were held at Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Munich on the first day of the festival. The Consul General Sergey Ganzha, the representative of Bavarian State Ministry for Education Toni Schmid, festival artistic director, director and art-director of Saint-Petersburg drama theatre „Priyut komedianta“ Viktor Minkov, the director of Saint Petersburg Demmeni Marionette Theatre Natalia Luneva, a theatre and film actor Andrey Shimko participated in the press conference.


The „Teaching methodology of Russian language in Germany and German language — in Russia“ round-table programme comprised presentation of educational institutions and programs. During the round-table conference significant topics of interest were discussed including „Problems and perspectives in teaching a foreign language“ (Russian/German), problems and group structure, perspectives of linguistic mediation, sharing experiences between teachers, Russian language lesson planning in Germany/ German language lesson planning in Russia, students exchange programs, discussion of application language skills in practice — universities, schools, public institutions, culture and arts, business component; peer meetings: common topics, influence of communication on further language studying.


The round-table conference was involved representatives of Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, Saint Petersburg State University, Secondary school with in-depth study of German language № 222 „Petrischule“, Children's Art Academy Centre of Russian culture in Munich, Russian Orthodox Diocese of Germany in Munich, Russian-German society Erlangen Bridges, Munich gymnasium Theodolinden.


Acting workshop by Andrey Shimko was held on the second day of the festival. The workshop focused on basic acting skills and included attention improving exercises, muscle memory skills, foretaste and emergence of feelings, teamwork, motion coordination, movement exercises.
Official opening of the festival was embellished with gala concert of classical music „Russian gift“ performed by Russia's young talents. The young musicians — award-winners and diploma-winners of All-Russia and International contents — performed Russian and foreign classical music for piano, xylophone, bayan, flute, cello, violin and clarinet.
