CULTURAL PROGRAMME OF SAINT-PETERSBURG

Saint-Petersburg Cultural Programme will be held in Banja Luka (Republika Srpska) from 22nd April to 13h May 2018 and include a Gala concert of Saint-Petersburg Opera Stars, accompanied by “Taurida” Symphony International Orchestra and an exhibition of Museum of the Defense and Siege of Leningrad.

Development of cultural ties between the cities is increasing every year. Saint-Petersburg cultural programme in Banja Luka is time for meetings, where traditions and innovativeness contribute to vivid cultural dialogue. It is a good opportunity for citizens of Banja-Luka to get to know Saint-Petersburg.

Gala concert of Saint Petersburg Opera Stars
The laureates of the international contents, prestige music award-winners, opera soloists of leading music theatres of Saint Petersburg: Alexander Trofimov (The Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers), Dmitry Karpov, Marina Tregubovich, Nataliya Mironova and Damir Zakirov (St. Petersburg Mussorgsky State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre - Mikhailovsky Theatre), Evgeniya Kravchenko (the State Chamber Music Theatre “The St. Petersburg Chamber Opera”), Roman Arndt and Olga Shurshina (State Children's Musical Theatre “Zazerkalie”) accompanied by Symphony International Orchestra “Tavrichesky”, artistic director and conductor, Honored Artist of Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria Mikhail Golikov will participate in the Gala concert.

Exhibition of Museum of the Defense and Siege of Leningrad
The Museum of the Defense and Siege of Leningrad will present an exhibition of World War II poster reproductions. The museum is the only cultural and educational institution that is dedicated to the history of defense of Leningrad and the tragedy of the city under blockade. Today the museum’s collection includes more than fifty thousand items, many of them were donated by the citizens of Saint-Petersburg.
