CULTURAL PROGRAMME OF SAINT-PETERSBURG IN HAMBURG

From the 2nd to the 9th of September Saint-Petersburg Cultural Programme was held in Hamburg – a picturesque city of Germany. The events took place at the venue of Kulturkirche Altona and in the exhibition show-room of the concert hall «Chaikovsky». Saint Petersburg and Hamburg are twin-cities and they celebrate the 60 years anniversary of partnership in 2017.
As part of Cultural Programme a gala concert of Saint Petersburg Opera Stars accompanied by Symphony International Orchestra “Tavrichesky” and an exhibition of the young photo artist “Petersburg. Moments. History” were held.

The gala concert of Saint Petersburg Opera stars.
The laureates of the international music competitions, prestige music prize winners, opera soloists of leading music theatres of Saint Petersburg: Alexander Trofimov (The Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers), Dmitry Karpov, Marina Tregubovich and Nataliya Mironova (St. Petersburg Mussorgsky State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre - Mikhailovsky Theatre), Damir Zakirov and Evgeniya Kravchenko (the State Chamber Music Theatre “The St. Petersburg Chamber Opera”), Roman Arndt and Olga Shurshina (State Children's Musical Theatre Zazerkalie) accompanied by Symphony International Orchestra “Tavrichesky”, artistic director and conductor is Honoured Artist of Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria Mikhail Golikov participated in the concert.

The exhibition “Petersburg. Moments. History”
The exhibition was presented by Ivan Chernych who is Petersburg young photographer, participant of All-Russian and International photo exhibitions and competitions, prize winner for the best chronicle photographer of the Festival “Otrazheniye” (Reflection) – Pushkin, Tsarskoye Selo.

In these works Ivan embodies the moments of daily town life of Saint-Petersburg in the format of candid shot, landscapes of the historical part of the city, its main architectural and monumental symbols in contemporary reality.
Every shot is the complete work which is similar to the painting.

Master slows down the march of time and shows the beauty of the city, uniting many world cultures. Ivan sees St. Petersburg as the place of learning the truth. He suggests the audience to move away from the established museum image of the northern capital and look at its dynamic and living world, at the contemporary urban environment for life and travel

The cultural connection between the cities has a long and glorious history. The Saint Petersburg Cultural Programme in Hamburg is a time for meetings where tradition and innovation contribute to a vibrant cultural dialogue, providing another opportunity for residents of Hamburg to get to know Petersburg.
